Clinton enjoyed being the ornery brother to his two sisters, Heather Lynn and Brooke Renee, and his aunt, Robin Michelle. They constantly annoyed each other and competed against one another for the best wit and physical dominance. They conspired with and against each other, but always in loving playfulness. They were deeply bonded and understood how to make one another laugh, or at least not tell their mom and dad.
Clinton graduated from El Dorado Springs High in 2011 after attending since kindergarten. He held many of the teachers he had in high regard and reflected fondly on the bonds he forged through those years. He completed his Associate’s degree at Crowder College in 2013. He formed lifelong friendships that he cherished all of his life.
Clinton began his relationship with Amanda Pitts by sending her flowers as a secret admirer. His determination to date her resulted in the greatest love story. Clinton married Amanda on July 30, 2016 at the church where they met, Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Clinton was the proud “father” of 3 dogs: Katie, Hunter, and Sugar. Clinton enjoyed a variety of activities such as running, golf, fishing, hunting, and various sports. He loved any time spent with the love of his life, Amanda, but especially loved to travel, hike, and bike. He enjoyed the things in life that were unique - be it restaurants, scenic views, people, or experiences.
Clinton had more talent in his pinky than most people have in their whole body — according to himself. He loved to compete in any game. He ran in many races, ranging from a 5k to a 50k distance. Two of his proudest accomplishments were running the Dogwood Canyon 50k trail run and the Heart of America marathon. He had a great work ethic and gave 110% to everything he did. He most recently worked at Buzz’s BBQ as a kitchen manager, and previously was employed at MoDOT, Meeks Lumber, ElDo Cycle, Pogo’s Pizza, as well as running his own dump truck business, hauling hay, and mowing yards. He approached every job with the intention of impressing and making connections with everyone he could.
Most importantly, Clinton was saved on Sunday, August 1, 2004 at the age of 11 at West Union Missionary Baptist Church. He had a testimony of a know-so salvation that he described as feeling like a wind going through him while sitting by Mildred Belcher. He joined Hickory Grove shortly thereafter and was baptized in the river. Clinton attended several Missionary Baptist churches in the area and currently was a member at El Dorado Springs. He was passionate about loving others without judging, as the Bible instructs.
