A visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel (816-657-4400). Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 12, 2023 also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in West Point Cemetery, Amsterdam, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilson family. Messages of condolence may be left for the family a twww.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.
Darrel Leon Wilson, Sr. was born September 10, 1954 in Merwin, Missouri to Archie and Edith Aleshire Wilson. Darrel was united in marriage to Debora Huckaby on July 5, 1988. He worked for JC Penny’s for over 25 years and was currently employed at the Drexel Schools for 10 years.
Darrel enjoyed gardening, fishing, mushroom and asparagus hunting, and was a collector of all things. If you were ever in need of something, Darrel most likely had what you were looking for, in fact he may have several.
Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ross Wilson, and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Debora “Debbie” Wilson of the home in Drexel, daughter Dawn Meyers of Overland Park, KS., son Darrel Wilson, Jr. and wife Rachel of Drexel, MO., daughter Desiree Offutt and husband Kenneth of Drexel, MO., grandchildren, Marley Wilson, Kenny and Kai Offutt, brother Roger Wilson and wife Donna of Drexel, MO., sister Elaine Tschudi of Adrian, MO.
