Evelyn Joyce Justis was born on January 31, 1937 in Clinton Missouri to John and Geneva Mitchell. She grew up in Clinton, Missouri. She always talked about walking to school while walking “up that hill”. She always would share how Clinton was while growing up and only being one cop and one sheriff “shuriff”. She bucked hay in her younger days. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening and canning along with being outside and going on long walks and meeting people, as she knew no stranger.
