Two from Butler seriously injured after striking deer in the roadway in Vernon County

On Saturday May 13th around 9:22 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of I-49 around 10 miles north of Nevada.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the northbound 2010 Ford Ranger driven by 36 year old Daniel S. Bennett of Butler, Missouri struck a deer in the roadway.

Mr. Bennett along with a passenger in his vehicle 34 year old Kristyn R. Rogers of Butler, Missouri both sustained serious injuries in this accident and both were transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The Ford Ranger was totaled and towed from the scene of the crash by Southeast Auto.
