Burglary suspect arrested in Lamar

The Lamar Police Department has seen an increase in thefts from vehicles over the last month. On 06/11/23 officers received two more reports of thefts from vehicles. Officers were able to link evidence from past thefts to these two thefts. 

Officers were then able to identify a suspect and ultimately submit multiple summons for four thefts for Molly R Smith, 31, of Lamar Missouri.

 
We would like to take this opportunity to remind people to always lock their vehicles and please do not leave valuables or money unattended in their vehicles.

 
Charges are based on probable cause and all persons are considered innocent until or unless proven guilty in court.
