He was a "tinkerer" bringing back to life many small engines. He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, flowers and tending to various plants. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bobby Swartz, and two sisters, Shiela Roach and Erma Minor.
Louis is survived by Susie Parker, his companion of sixteen years, children, Gloria Thurman(Tommy), Louis Swartz Jr., Christopher Swartz, and Lacey Greenstreet, four brothers, Gary Swartz(Dee), Richard Swartz, Larry Swartz(Sheena), and Lorenzo Swartz Jr.(Sharon), one sister, Nellie Gilkey(John), and one grandchild.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery, Foster, Missouri.
