Sexual assault at Paola Kansas swim beach

Through this investigation at least one victim was identified in rural Miami County and as such, our agency has been working collaboratively with the Paola Police Department to fully investigate these allegations.

Late last night, Mr. West was taken into custody for one count of Aggravated Indecent Liberties of a Child and seven counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

Mr. West is being held in the Miami County Jail and is presumed innocent until proven guilty. We continue to investigate.
