Geri was born on November 23, 1941, and raised in Olney Springs, Colorado. Geri graduated Olney Spring High School in 1959. She married Elvin Ross “Red” Mosier on September 6, 1959. For the next 40 years, she supported Red in his career as a Teacher/Administrator/Superintendent of schools. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother and exceptional homemaker, Geri worked various jobs from managing a chicken ranch, delivering eggs, grocery clerk, selling home interiors and bailiff. After Red retired in 1998, they moved to Harrisonville, MO, where Geri was Director for several years at the Harrisonville Community Center. Together Geri and Red were quite a team. They worked hard on any job inside or outside. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards, making friends and traveling whether by motorcycles, camping, RVing, or boating.
During the last two years of her life, she moved to Brookdale Wornall Place and became an active member of the community. Geri made lots of good friends, played cards, helped run the community store, and was treasurer of the Residence Council.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roby Roy and Myrtle Bertha (Wilson) Baker; and her husband, Red Mosier on June 10, 2006. She is survived by one daughter, Terri Blythe and her husband, Jake; step-mother, Dorothy Baker; two brothers and their wives: Lee and Kathy Baker and Dan and Penny Baker; two granddaughters, two step-granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren: Tonya Kelly; Rebecca and TJ Tomlin (Phoenix and Raven); Stephanie and Joe Stewart (Carter and Cora); Whitney and Chris Benson (Tatum, Ryker and Braxton); and many extended family and friends.
