One arrested after hit and run accident in Butler

On Tuesday July 4th shortly before 10 pm the Butler Police Department along with Butler Fire and Bates County EMS was called to a hit and run accident involving a motorcycle at Mill and Sunset View Drive in the area of Tingler Park in Butler. 

The male subject who was struck on the motorcycle refused medical treatment at the scene of the crash. 

The driver who struck him was arrested after fleeing the scene to Bear Stop. The female was identified as 33 year old Samantha M. Bell of Butler was arrested and placed on a 12 hour hold for suspicion of drunk driving, Failure to maintain lane and leaving the scene of a accident.
