Structure fire in Nevada

On Monday July 17th just after 9:00 p.m. the Nevada Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 500 Block of W. Cherry Street in Nevada.

According to a press release sent to us from Nevada Fire Chief Troy Denney, When crews arrived on scene a fire was found in a small closet that was also access to the water lines for the bathtub.

Most of the fire was put out by melted water line. Crews had to overhaul, getting spots and burned debris out and removed from the room.

A total of four trucks and eight firefighters were on scene; there were no injuries.
