Fatality motorcycle accident in St. Clair County

On Sunday August 27th around 11:25 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County along with St. Clair County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle fatality accident on Missouri 13 Highway at Collins.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the westbound 2005 Suzuki Motorcycle driven by 59 year old Jessie L. Ray of Aurora, Missouri failed to yield and was struck by a northbound 2003 Harley Davidson Motorcycle drive by 60 year old Ronald D. Wallace of Bolivar, Missouri ejecting all occupants.

Jessie L. Ray was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was transported to Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola, Missouri. 

A passenger on the bike 42 year old Jean A. Ray of Bolivar, Missouri sustained serious injuries and she was transported by Life Flight to Cox South for treatment.

Mr. Wallace sustained serious injuries and was transported by Life Flight to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 95th Fatality of the year 2023.
