Tim dedicated many years of his life to the lumber industry and was renowned for his exceptional skills as a finish carpenter.
He took great pride in his craft, and his workmanship designing shelves, dressers, and various projects he lovingly built. Tim's talent extended beyond his own home, as he generously shared his expertise, installing crown molding and trim that still adorns the homes of those he touched with his craftsmanship.
Tim's passion for carpentry was only matched by his love for his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and Paw Paw, cherishing the time spent with his loved ones, especially his grandbabies. His warm heart, sense of humor, and kind, compassionate spirit made him a cherished friend to many.
Tim was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time in nature with his friends and family—camping, fishing, and hunting. Tim would always extend an invite for others to join him on the lake for a day of fishing. Many will tell you stories about the times they spent with him doing just that.
Tim is sorely missed by his three children and their spouses: Dara (Chris), Tate (Justina), and Kyler (Andrea), as well as his children’s mother and friend, Jana. As his kids faced the ups and downs of life, they always had the comfort of knowing that their dad's guidance was just a phone call away. Whether they needed advice on handling a difficult situation, repairing their car, or fixing a problem in their home, he was a steadfast pillar of support and a source of unconditional love and knowledge.
Tim leaves behind his grandbabies: Natalie, Braxton, Dane, Ella, Serenity, Landen, Mykenzie, and Parker. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by them. He relished in their laughter, their innocent curiosity, and their boundless energy.
Tim is preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Jim; his brother, Mike; niece, Darci; and loving parents, Billie and James. He is survived by his siblings: April (Gary), Randy (Heather), Eric (Heather), their children, and his many beloved cousins who grew up alongside the Burroughs children. He loved his nephews and nieces dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Tim's life will be held on August 20, 2023, at Harrisonville City Park, Shelter #7, at 12 pm. His family will be celebrating his life with lunch after his service and doing what Tim loved to do most: spending time with family and friends. Bring your rod; there is a lake on-site for fishing. If you’d like to bring a dish to share, please feel free to bring one!
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time.
"Though he may be gone from our sight, Tim will forever live on in our hearts through the memories we shared and the love he left behind."
