UPDATE:
8/5/23: Late last night, DPD contacted the Miami County Sheriff’s office, and provided them with information on the possible whereabouts of the other individuals who are suspected of participating in the recent vehicle break-ins.
This morning at around 1am, deputies from the Miami County Sheriff’s office successfully located these individuals near Lake La Cygne.
It is unknown at this time what crimes of any they are being charged with by MCSO, however, I did receive word they were being transported to the MCSO jail in Paola.
DPD will continue to investigate the incidents in our community. Thank you to Sheriff Kelley and his team for their hard-work and dedication to our respective communities.
