Fatality accident in Cass County

On Saturday September 23rd around 7:45 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on southbound Route D just south of 241st in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2018 Kia Stinger driven by 56 year old Courtnard I. Wilson of Cleveland, Missouri lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the roadway striking a fence and tree.

Mr. Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and he was transported to Frontier Forensics in Kansas City.

This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 64th fatality of the year 2023.
