Fatality motorcycle accident in Henry County

On Wednesday September 20th around 10:27 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with Henry County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a motorcycle accident on SW 701 Road at SW 430 Road in rural Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2009 Kawasaki Motorcycle driven by 51 year old Thomas R. Malloy of Deepwater, Missouri failed to stop at a T intersection and traveled off the roadway ejecting the driver and passenger.

Thomas R. Malloy was pronounced dead at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. A passenger on the motorcycle 21 year old April R. Sturgeon of Osceola, Missouri sustained minor injuries and she was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment.

This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 63rd fatality accident of the year 2023.
