Bill, a lifelong resident of Nevada, attended Nevada School and graduated from Nevada High School where he in 1971. Throughout his life he worked as a truck driver. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, and fishing, and was proud of his Peterbilt Truck with chrome. Most of all, Bill loved his family, especially his grandson.
In addition to his wife Willa, he is survived by his daughter, Gina Newton (Chris), Nevada, MO; his grandson, Jeff Newton; three brothers, Donald Wolf, Vic Wolf (Margie), and Jack Wolf (Sandy), all of Nevada; two sisters, Mary Woods, Nevada, and Jo Hymer (Mike), Metz, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wilbur Wolf, and his father-in-law, Bennie Good.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Dennis Wallen officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested in his name to Vernon County 4-H Shooting Sports, or Good Shepherd Hospice of Butler c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
