Corey was born on June 21, 1988, in Kansas City, MO, and grew up in the small town of Peculiar with his grandparents, Gary and Dorthy Peters. Corey was a man who lived life to the fullest. Even from a young age, he longed for adventure. He was always tinkering with something with such passion behind it.
Crazy Corrr - his love for the great outdoors was infectious. Whether he was casting a line into his favorite fishing spot, or sitting in the deer stand, his passion for nature was so apparent. His love for going fast, rock climbing, and scuba diving was what kept him living and loving life to the fullest.
At a young age, Corey started working as a sub-contractor for a railroad car refurbisher; this is where he found the love for welding. For several years, his love for welding grew and he decided to move on and start the next chapter of his life. In 2017, Corey decided that working and living at the Lake of the Ozarks was the life that he wanted. One of his life long dreams came true and he opened up A-1 Mobile Welding: Dock and Dive. Corey quickly had the lake memorized and did a ton of work for those on and around the lake. Not only was he known for the quality of his work, but he was also the only one at the lake who offered a lifetime warranty on all of the welds.
In the final year of Corey's life, he found his life partner, Karie. She brought a light to Corey's life that had never been seen before. They were able to share so many exciting life adventures and love together. Corey had no enemies. He was known as a fantastic teacher and friend. His uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way made it hard to not love him. He always enjoyed the simple things in life, like walking along a creekside with his dog, or setting up a hammock and falling asleep next to a fire.
Corey is survived by his father, Todd Alley; his mother, Kathy Ogletree; his grandfather, Gary Peters; the love of his life, Karie Place; his brother, Derek Ogletree; his sisters: Kara Ogletree and Haili Smith; as well as, many other family and friends.
