Obituary - Tracy Allan Kissick

Tracy Allan Kissick, 49, of East Lynne, MO, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at his home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO, with the visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Cremation to follow services.

Tracy was born July 17, 1974 to Larry Kissick, Sr. and Bridgett (Hanceross) Kissick in Saint Joseph, MO, where he was small enough that he was brought home in a shoebox. Growing up, his forever idol was his grandfather, Sonny Otto Kissick, because if he ever got in trouble he would have to walk home in the snow, but PaPa saved him every time by picking him up and taking him to school. He graduated from Hickman Mills High School with the Class of 1993.

In May of 1993, he married his junior high school sweetheart, Crystal Dehn, they were together for 5 years prior to their marriage, spending a total of 35 years together. They welcomed their first child, Regina LeAnn Kissick, on May 28, 1993, and she was the light in Tracy's eyes. They continued to grow their family, welcoming Tylor James Otto Kissick on January 22, 1998. Although, they believed Tylor would be their last, Tracy and Crystal welcomed their nephew, Cody, into their family as their own son in October of 2003, after he was born June 10, 2003.

Being a dad was his most important role, until he became a PaPa, welcoming his first grandchild, Ayden Bentley, in 2011. Tracy was a proud PaPa, and his kids quickly became second. He welcomed his second grandson, Masen Allan, in 2016, named after Tracy, and because Masen likes to be a problem child, he was a big PaPa's boy, as Tracy often was found laughing at everything, he did wrong. In 2020, came another grandson, Weston Lane, who was always beating up on PaPa. He finally got a granddaughter, Faith Ann, in 2020, but then another grandson, Waylon Kash, in 2022, which he finally made the remark, "Come on! You all are going to make me broke!" Although he won't be able to be here for Cody's kids, we know he is watching over all of the family.

Tracy and Tylor started their own trucking company in 2018 together, T&T Kissick Trucking. Driving a semi-truck was his life. He lived in the truck and loved it. However, one thing he enjoyed outside of the semi was taking all his kids and grandkids on trips to the lake and Branson. Branson became his home away from home, and every child that came around was welcomed into the family as his kids, as he loved all of his kid's friends and their children. Recently, Tracy and Crystal were able to take their granddaughter to Tennessee, where he got within an arm's length to an elk and that trip was always being talked about, making it his best trip ever! Tracy also loved going to the boat to gamble and fishing. He never met a stranger and had so many friends and many he considered to be family. He certainly leaves a lasting impression for those who knew him.

Tracy is survived by his wife, Crystal Kissick, of the home; his children: Regina (Josh) McRoy of Harrisonville, MO; his son, Tylor (Emma) Kissick of East Lynne, MO; his son, Cody (Alyssa) Kissick of Harrisonville, MO; his parents: Larry, Sr. and Bridgett Kissick of Warsaw, MO; 6 grandchildren: Ayden McRoy, Masen McRoy and Faith McRoy, all of Harrisonville, MO; Weston Kissick, Waylon Kissick, and Raelynn Mefford all of East Lynne, MO; his brother, Larry Kissick, Jr. of Raymore, MO; his sisters: Bethany (Will) Kelly of Belton, MO; and Summer Kissick of Warsaw, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
