Nine Butler students attended West Central Missouri District Choir on Saturday, October 21st. There were three choirs that rehearsed for seven hours and then performed in a concert at Oak Grove High School. The 9/10th grade choir included Makenzie Algiere, Lola Blaser, Kensley Schowengerdt and Bethany Swarnes.
The 11/12 Women's District Choir included Olivia Blaser and Madison Kennedy. The All-District Honor Choir is comprised of the top auditionees from the 64 schools in the West Central District. Auditions include singing a solo, sight reading, and key signature identification.
The three students who made the top choir are Zedrick Hamersley, Zion Plotner, and Skilyn Roberts. These three were able to audition for the all-state choir, and Zion Plotner was selected! This is a huge honor and really speaks to the caliber of musician that Zion is.
