Haley Ray Tansey, a vibrant and compassionate soul, passed away at the young age of 28 on Thursday, October 26, 2023. She fought a valiant battle with cancer, displaying strength, grace, and unwavering determination throughout her journey. Haley leaves a void that can never be filled.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Haley will then be laid to rest at Belton Cemetery.
Born October 30, 1994 in Kansas City, Kansas, Haley was a devoted wife to her husband, a Marine who served his country with honor. Their journey took them from the sunny shores of California to the rolling landscapes of North Carolina before they settled back home in Kansas near their families.
Her greatest pride and joy was her 8-year-old son, Jasper, whom she loved fiercely. As a mother, Haley left a permanent mark, imparting the values of resilience, kindness, and unwavering support to her son.
Haley embraced an active lifestyle and cherished her moments in the great outdoors, particularly she loved the joy of playing softball with her family and friends. She was not only a star on the field but also coached her son, nieces, and nephews, instilling in them a love for sports and the importance of teamwork.
Her kindness knew no bounds. Haley was a pillar of support for her friends and family, offering a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, and a heart full of empathy. Her warmth and generosity brought comfort to those fortunate enough to know her.
Though Haley has left this world far too soon, her memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, beauty, and steadfast strength in the face of adversity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Cherishing her memory are her loving husband, Jaysson Tansey; son, Jasper Tansey; parents, Raychel Delap and Lawrence Nelson; grandparents, Burel and Linda Chapman; and six siblings, Kevin Delap, John Delap, Lucas Nelson, David Forrest, Laura Draves, and Larissa Hibbs.
