Obituary - James Theodore Trapani

James Theodore Trapani, Jr., 72, of El Dorado Springs, formerly of Jefferson City, died Friday, November 3, 2023, at his residence. He was born March 6, 1951, in Glendale, California, the son of James Theodore and Dorothy Vivian Weidman Trapani.

On May 15, 1978, Jim was united in marriage in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Rebecca Beeler, who survives at their home.

Jim was a committed civil servant, working in reserve and investigate law enforcement, as well as many years with the Missouri Division of Fire Safety. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved his dogs and thought of them as family.

In addition to his wife of 44 years, Jim is survived by three sons: Brad Trapani of Jefferson City, Vincent Trapani of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Anthony (Johna) Trapani, of Jefferson City; two grandchildren: Remi Jean Trapani, Monroe Rye Trapani; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susan Trapani.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Rev. Duane Lasater officiating. Interment will follow Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
