Obituary - Judith Ann Lauck

Judith Lauck was surrounded by loved ones when called to heaven on November 20, 2023. Judy had resided on her family farm in Rockville, Missouri. Her final days were spent with her daughter in Pensacola, Florida.

Judith was born on March 9, 1948, to Jim and Norma Huffman of Rockville, Missouri where she graduated from Appleton City High School in 1966.

She then moved to Springfield, Missouri where she began beauty school and met her husband Daniel M. Lauck. They were married in 1967 and were blessed with two children, Todd and Tina. Judy was an extremely loving and devoted mother to both of her children.

At the age of thirty-eight, Judy went back to school where she earned her degree as a registered nurse and later became the director of nursing, continuing her career for the next thirty years.

Everyone who met Judy experienced her kind spirit and loving gentle manner. She had a very infectious smile and laugh, with an unwavering positive outlook on life. Judy was a woman of strong faith and belief. One of her fondest memories is traveling to Israel where she got to live out her lifelong dream of seeing the birthplace of Jesus Christ and where Jesus had risen.

Judy loved hosting family get togethers, with Thanksgiving being her favorite, and was most happy when with family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to hosting gatherings, Judith was quite the prankster. Every April Fools the entire family would know to expect a call from her with an outlandish prank.

She would still find a way to fool us all. It is a tradition and memory that will live within our hearts forever.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon Kent. She is survived by her husband Daniel M. Lauck; sister Deborah Blackshear; son Todd Lauck and wife Julie of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; daughter Tina Becker and husband Phil of Pensacola, Florida; her grandchildren: Aundrea and Courtney Lauck, Tyler Trouth, and Talen Lee; her great-grandchildren: Remi and Kenna Ditty; and her step-grandchildren: Kailee Jones, Grant, Lauren, and Grace Becker.

She will be dearly missed but will forever live in our hearts. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Appleton City Cemetery.

Funeral service will be Tuesday November 28th at 1pm at the Hill & Sons Funeral Home in Appleton City. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12-1pm
