Funeral services were held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Interment, with miliary honors, in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
Ron was born on March 2,1941 in Kiowa, Kansas, a son to Floyd Lee and Bertha Louise (Wright) Richardson, whom he was preceded in death by. Ron grew up in Pineville, MO, where he was a class of 1959 Pineville High graduate. Ron was enthusiastic to join the military at only 17 years old. He proudly served his country in the Army and Air Force during the Korean War.
Ron was united in a loving marriage to Annice (Ann) Brady on January 21, 1964 in Shawnee, KS. They made their first home in the Kansas City area before settling into Harrisonville to make their family home. In addition to his faithful love of caring for animals and family, Ron was a man of many trades. He attended many trade schools including locksmith, HVAC, photography, and electrical. Ron was the Chief Electrician for Capri Casino in Kansas City for many years before retiring in 2007.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Ann Richardson, of Harrisonville, MO; his son, Larry Richardson of Louisville, KY; his daughters: Kristina Edington of Leavenworth, KS; and Kimberly Butler, Harrisonville, MO; son-in-laws, Rodney and Brian; two brothers: Richard L. Richardson of Raytown, MO; and Danny E. Richardson of Oak Grove, MO; his sister, Helen R. Jones of Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Jessica A. Lewin, Paul Estep Jr., Courtney Pinaire, Patty Edington, Katie Parmley, and Chrystal Edington; as well as, numerous great-grandchildren, friends, and other loved ones.
