13 selected to honor band at Harrisonville High School

We would like to congratulate the 13 Harrisonville High School musicians who have been selected to honor bands based on their talent!

Three HHS musicians were selected to the All-District Jazz Band - Ben Wooten, 1st chair guitar and Kenny Barnard, 1st chair piano. Zane Helt was named 1st alternate baritone saxophone.

The HHS musicians selected for the All-District Honor Band include Annie Rhoney, 2nd chair bass clarinet; Kayla Mason, 8th chair flute; Ava Kelly, 7th chair trumpet, Olivia June, 9th chair trumpet; Rowan Truman, 8th chair trombone; Jacki Bundt, 5th chair bass clarinet; Jozie Tindle, 1st chair bassoon; and Cayden Ritter, 5th chair trombone.

Those students selected to the All-District Honorable Mention Band include Noah Norman, 1st chair alto saxophone and Hunter Jones, 6th chair trombone.

These band students will have their district rehearsals and performances on January 5-6 at the University of Central Missouri. The jazz band and honor band students also qualify to audition for All-State groups on December 2 in Columbia.
