Talan Chandler heading to Mizzou

Nevada Tiger offensive lineman Talan Chandler has announced a new destination for his college football plans.

Chandler put out a statement on his social media Sunday that he has changed his commitment to the University of Missouri and will now be playing for the Tigers in the SEC.

The All-State 6-4 295 pound offensive lineman had long been committed to the Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders making that announcement in February. Chandler is considered to be one of the top offensive line prospects in the state by recruiting services.

Chandler said in his statement the University of Missouri has always been his dream school and the chance to play for the Tigers was recently offered. He said after consideration it was an opportunity he had to take for him and his family.

Chandler's two year Nevada career came to an end Saturday when the Tigers were defeated by Kearney in the Class 4 Quarterfinals. His first two years of high school football were at Lutheran St. Charles helping them win a state championship his sophomore year.
