Deborah Anne Harris Anders Bliss, 70, Ft. Scott, KS passed peacefully from this earth on December 19, 2023 following a lengthy illness.
Debbie, as everyone knew her, was born August 21, 1953 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She moved with her family to Hollister, MO in 1965 and then to Nevada, MO in 1967.
Debbie married Roy (Skip) Bliss on November 8, 1969 and they had one daughter together, Tricia Anne Bliss. She later married Kenny Anders on April 19, 1977 and together they had a daughter, Angela Kaye Anders.
Debbie spent much of her time supporting her husband’s band, The Midnight Playboys, and working at 3M. she and Kenny were also very involved with the local Eagles FOE Aerie #3770 in Nevada. Debbie retired from 3M and eventually moved back to Branson for a brief time.
Following the death of her husband, Debbie moved back to the Nevada area and re-married her first husband, Skip Bliss on June 8, 2019.
She enjoyed her yearly trips to Branson with her Mom and sisters, following the Midnight Playboys, landscaping her yard, and going to the lake with friends. She enjoyed her Grandsons immensely and was always very proud of them and loved talking about all they were doing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert (Gib) and Rhoda Harris; her 2nd husband, Kenny Anders; one sister, Greta Russell, and one brother, Gilbert (Gill) Harris. She is survived by her husband Skip of Nevada; daughters, Tricia Bliss Miller (David), Nevada, and Angela Anders in Branson; stepson, Brian Anders, Kansas City; sisters, Shelley Chadd, Milo, Donna Wagner (Max), Nevada, Raye Swopes (Clint), Walker, Danielle Smith of Ft. Worth, TX; grandsons, Trey Miller (Tiffany), Nevada, Devin Miller (Beth), Nevada, Dayton Miller (Halley), Nevada, Cody Miller (Hallie), Nevada, and Jared Sturm, Branson; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Bill Platt officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
