On 1/17/2024 the Bates County Sheriff's Office was contacted by a Missouri Highway Patrol DDCC Investigator that was working a death investigation in Cedar County Missouri. They were requesting an assistance in regards to obtaining and executing a search warrant at a location in Rockville Mo.
Later that evening, investigators with the Bates County Sheriff's Office executed the search warrant on a camper located in Rockville. The camper belonged to a male subject who was arrested and charged in Cedar County connected to the death investigation.
The three people have been preliminarily charged with tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution and felony abandonment of a corps.
On 1/18/2024 the Bates County Sheriff's Office received a call in reference a disturbance at the above mentions property. The call was that the property owner had three subjects there and two of them had threatened him with fire arms.
The subjects thought the property owner was working with law enforcement in regards to the death investigation in Cedar County. Deputies were dispatched to the address but prior to their arrival they were advised that the subjects had left and were headed toward Appleton City. Deputies got descriptions of the vehicles involved and were able to intercept the vehicles. Three people were detained from the traffic stops.
The female involved has been identified as the daughter to one of the men that were arrested and charged in Cedar County.
On 1/19/2024 Detectives obtained a search warrant for the two vehicles from the traffic stop related to this incident. Upon the search of the vehicle Detectives recovered multiple rifles and a pistol from both cars.
Taylor Jordan Keith of Adrian Missouri has been charged with Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only
Chadwyk Arville Runyon of Adrian Missouri has been charged with Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only
Additional Charges are expected to be filed next week for Tampering with a Witness.
