In the 3rd, Rich Hill matched their 1st quarter score, adding another 6 to their tally; while Adrian once again stayed steady scoring yet another 8 points, bringing the score to 24-15 as we headed into the fourth and final quarter. In the fourth, the Lady Blackhawks recorded 9 points, the Lady Tigers would match Adrian, scoring 9 of their own. The final would see the Lady Blackhawks victorious with a final of 33-24.
Riley Essenpries of the Lady Blackhawks would lead all scores for the game with 15 points. Maysi Miller led the Lady Tigers with 9.
Up next was a highly anticipated rematch between the Tigers and Blackhawks. The Tigers came into the contest with an 11-2 record, with one of their only 2 losses coming at the hands of the Blackhawks in an overtime thriller back in the Butler Tournament. The Tigers would look to even the match up, while the Blackhawks would seek to add to their 6 game winning streak and sweep the Tigers.
The main event matchup did not disappoint, as the Tigers and Blackhawks did indeed put on a show. It was a tightly contested game throughout, but the Blackhawks were able to maintain a narrow advantage throughout.
The Tigers were able to force some late game turnovers, and drill a couple of last minute 3s, but Adrian sunk a pair of clutch free throws to be able hand the Tigers their 3rd loss on the season. When the final buzzer sounded, the Blackhawks were able to squeak out a 64-62 victory, and sweep the the Tigers on the season.
