MoDot driver escapes serious injury in rollover accident near Butler

On Monday January 22nd around 5:35 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Bates County EMS and Butler Fire Department responded to a MoDot plow truck that rolled over on Missouri 52 West Highway and CR NW 3502 around 4 miles west of Butler.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2018 International driven by 37 year old Nicholas C. Lewis of Rockville, Missouri stared to slide on ice covered roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Mr. Lewis sustained minor injuries and he was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment.
