Connie was the oldest daughter of Hershell L. and Ruby M. (Adams) Barnett born April 27, 1944 in Butler MO. Connie had four children; Carol, Calvin, Judd and Sally Jo.
Connie lived a full life and was a pioneer for women and minorities as a member of Teamsters Union Local 541 Road Construction. She worked for companies such as J. A. Tobin and Clarkson. She retired with a 20-year pension, then she took up her love of sewing. She loved to make scrappy quilts and crafting.
Connie was preceded in death her parents, her 30-year companion Gene Reiss, her son Calvin Embry, and her sister Lora Lee Busherd.
Connie is survived by her children Carol Criswell, husband Roy of Springfield MO, Kenny Justin “Judd” Quick, significant other Nannette New Kirk of Butler MO, Sally Jo Ratzburg, husband Scott of Raytown, MO, grandkids and great grandkids. She is also survived by brother-in-law Jerry Busherd of Moses Lake Washington.
