Two arrested after assault in Nevada

On Monday January 22nd the Nevada Police Department responded to a domestic assault in progress. When officers arrived on scene they made contact with the victim and a witness who said 27 year old Rashia Carlson of Nevada, Missouri and a 26 year old Robert Prentice also of Nevada assaulted the victim after getting into an argument.

The victim stated that she was hit in the head multiple times, and once she was on the ground, Mr. Prentice jumped in and began to kick her in the side and stomp her in the knee. After the assault both of the the suspect took off in different directions.

Police later arrested Carlson and Prentice on a charge of felony third degree domestic assault, and are being held in the Vernon County Jail with $25,000 cash only bonds.
