Linda Kay McCauley, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Kansas City Hospice House of Kansas City, Missouri. Linda was born on February 8, 1944 in Milo, Missouri to parents Clarence Cecil Leer, Sr. and Pansy Calvene (Clark, Leer) Veltri. She married RB Mason and later married Gary John McCauley, Sr. on October 6, 1967 in Spokane, WA.
Linda grew up in Milo, Missouri and later in life moved to Harrisonville, Missouri to be closer to her family and friends. She loved spending time with her many cats and dogs, making quilts for her family and friends, floral design and antique cars.
Survivors are her children Lorie Kipper, Overland Park, KS, Debbie Baker, Spokane, WA, Rick McCauley and wife Kimberly, Peculiar, MO, Gayla Kendall and husband Thomas, Spokane, WA, Sherri Vogt and husband Michael, Shawnee, KS, Gary John McCauley, Jr. and wife Cindy, Yuma, AZ; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gary John McCauley, Sr., her parents, one brother, and her daughter Carrie Norman.
Funeral services to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Missouri, starting at 10:30 am. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery.
