Update: Fire destroys car, damages 2 homes yesterday in Nevada

On Monday February 26th around 1:09 p.m. the Nevada Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 219 E. Locust Street in Nevada.

When fire crews arrived on scene then found heavy smoke and flames coming from behind the garage and apartment of 229 E. Locust and 219 E.Locust. The fire also extended to two other outbuildings and dead trees in the area of the fire. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation currently. Mutual was called from several Departments, and Walker and Deerfield were able to respond to the call. Limited resources were to be had due to other fires and calls going on in the county.

No injuries were reported. 10 firefighters and 6 total apparatus were on scene; crews were on scene for approximately three hours.
