The victim was transported to the Bates County Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The assault occurred when there was a verbal dispute between the victim and a neighbor, identified as Crystal Baker. The verbal dispute escalated to Crystal striking the victim in the face, causing the victim to fall backwards onto the ground. Baker then continued to assault the victim by repeatedly slamming her head into a brick flower bed until pulled away by a witness.
Crystal Baker was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold. A warrant was later issued and Crystal Baker was charged with Assault – 2nd Degree and assigned a bond of $10,000 Cash or Surety.
