Maynard D. Miracle was born to Hilery and Iva Miracle on February 20, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He passed away peacefully at his home in Garden City, MO with his loving wife Janice Miracle, of 37 years by his side.
After Graduating High School, Maynard was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, U.S. Army. After his service to his country, he embarked on a successful career as a Drafts man/ Construction Engineer until he retired. Maynard was an avid singer, guitar and bass player that sounded very much like Willie Nelson. Maynard’s favorite style of country music was the traditional singers such as Faren Young, Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings, and Merle Haggard. He enjoyed getting together with other musicians singing and playing at local Community Centers and nursing homes. He actually met his wife Janice while performing in Kansas City. His wonderful smile, corny jokes, and jovial personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Maynard is preceded in death by his parents Hilery and Iva Miracle; a step-father Glen Young; a sister, Helen Hayes; and a son Michael Miracle. He is survived by his wife Janice Miracle of Garden City, Missouri; a son Maynard Derick Miracle (Heather) of Ohio; stepdaughter Debra Knopke (Chris) of Camdenton, MO; stepdaughter Rhonda Farris (Richard) of Englewood, FL; stepson Ronald Morris, Jr of Independence, MO; and a sister Shirley Greber of Cincinnati, Ohio.
