Butler Lady Bears Softball shuts out the Green Ridge Tigers 

Butler Lady Bears Softball Team got a big win over the Green Ridge Lady Tigers 10-0 on Tuesday. 

Butler jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Haven Humphrey drew a walk, scoring one run, and Sydney Davis doubled, scoring two runs. 

The Lady Bears extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Kylee Dubray and Humphrey. 

Dubray led things off in the circle for Butler Bears. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking two. 

Mikensey Devorss stepped in the circle first for Green Ridge Tigers. They gave up nine hits and 10 runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking five. 

Avery Eldred tossed three innings of zero-run ball for Butler Bears in relief. The reliever surrendered four hits, striking out three and walking none. 

Davis and Dubray each drove in three runs for Butler Bears. Taylor Hudson collected two hits for Butler Bears in two at bats. Hudson paced Butler Bears with two walks. 

Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Hudson stole three bases. Butler Bears stole four bases in the game. 

Kayden Box led Green Ridge Tigers with two hits in three at bats. Next up for Butler Lady Bears is the OHC Tournament this Saturday in Warsaw.
