Butler teen seriously injured in early morning crash

On May 21st around 4:05 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County EMS, Butler Fire Department and Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of I-49 around mile marker 132.8 north of Butler.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the northbound 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 18 year old Dylan D. Randalls of Butler, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a sign post, tree and fence.

Mr. Randalls sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Bates County EMS to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.

The Jeep was totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by Douty's Tow of Butler.
