The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2004 Ford Expedition driven by 39 year old Joyce O. Scrogham of Butler, Missouri was entering northbound I-49 and failed to see another vehicle. The Expedition ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and ran off the left side of the roadway, striking a delineator post and a ditch before coming to rest.
Joyce O. Scrogham sustained minor injuries and she was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
