Drug arrest made in Osceola

On June 20, 2024, Officer Kauffman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Osceola City Limits for expired registration. Officer Kauffman observed the driver shaking and breathing heavily.Officer Kauffman learned that the driver was also on probation and parole for possession of a controlled substance.

The driver of the vehicle denied consent to search. St. Clair Deputies, a St. Clair Detective, along with Deputy Marshall and K9 Babs arrived on the scene to assist. K9 Babs conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted for the odor of narcotics. Two bags with approximately 24 grams of crystal substance were located with paraphernalia located next to the driver.

The driver was then transported to the St. Clair County Jail to be interviewed, booked, and released. The driver was identified as Ronnie Parmalee out of Osceola, Missouri. A felony delivery of a controlled substance charge will be sent to prosecuting attorney Daniel Dysart. A citation for possession of drug paraphernalia will be sent to prosecuting attorney Joshua Jones.
