Exciting news from the City of Butler

The City of Butler and Osage Valley Electric Cooperative are excited to announce they have reached an agreement to extend Osage Valley’s fiber optic network into the City of Butler. This innovative partnership will bring high speed, fiber-to-the-home internet to the residents and businesses of Butler.

“High-speed internet is desperately needed in this community, and we believe it will provide our residents and businesses with a significant advantage. Enhanced connectivity will open up new opportunities for education, commerce, and communication, fostering growth and innovation throughout our area.” said city administrator Corey Snead.

“We are excited for this opportunity to expand our network off-system. The city administration has shown great foresight into the future of technology for their citizens, and Osage Valley is thrilled to collaborate with them to bring complete broadband coverage in the City of Butler.” said Jarrod Campbell, CEO of Osage Valley Electric Cooperative.

It will take several months to build the network throughout town and service will not be available until construction of the entire network is complete. Contractors have already started the installation process in several areas of town.

Internet service is expected to be available to citizens by late fall of this year. Conexon Connect will be the internet service provider and will handle the installation, service, billing, and technical support. Customers can pre-register at www.conexonconnect.com or by calling 844-542-6663
