Harry “Junior” Jackson Shelton was born on April 20, 1949 in Archie, MO to Harry Shelton, Sr and Bessie Shelton. He attended Everett Grade School, went on to attend Drexel High School. Junior served his country in the US Army and completed two tours in Vietnam. He had a love of car races, he enjoyed watching the Chiefs, but he found his greatest joy on the open road driving. Junior had a strong dedication to his family and treasured their times together. He also loved helping people work on cars and was always cracking jokes, hoping to make you smile.
Junior was preceded in death my his parents; Harry and Bessie, siblings; Shirley Kunkel, Richard Shelton, Carl Shelton and Larry Shelton.
He is survived by his siblings; Dorothy Olmstead, of Independence, MO, Perry (Nancy) Shelton, of Harrisonville, MO, Vivian Holmes of Tuscan, Arizona, Jeanette (Rod) Martinette of Chattanooga Tennessee, son, Robert Travis Shelton, daughters; Jamie (John) Wirsig and their children Ben, Hayden & Reagan, and Dana Phillips of Overland Park and her kids Daryn, Alexandra, Briana, and Riley.
