One arrested after fleeing from police on ATV

On 09/21/2024 at approximately 1940 hours, Officers with the La Cygne Kansas Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a white, Suzuki LT-Z400 ATV due to it unlawfully travelling eastbound on E. Market St./K152 and without an operating tail light.

Upon initiating the stop, the operator, Joseph Goodrow (47) recklessly attempted to flee, travelling at a high rate of speed and in the westbound lane, before pulling in Dollar General's parking lot, 19394 K152, where he was taken into custody.

The La Cygne Police Department has submitted charges to the Linn County Attorney's Office for: Flee or attempt to elude LEO by Engaging in reckless driving, Unlawful riding of an ATV, improper driving on lanes of a public road, basic speed rule, defective tail lamp, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
