The Sheriff is delivering his personal camper for the use of displaced law enforcement officers and spoke with the Bates County Commissioners Office, who agreed to donate pallets of MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) that we had in surplus, for the cause as well.
Deputies from the Bates County Sheriffs Office are planning to leave Wednesday to deliver those items and other supplies to those agencies. They are donating uniforms, boots, socks and other essentials personally as well.
Many of our local citizens have asked how they can help, if you would like to donate items here is a list of things that can be delivered to the Bates County Sheriff’s Office by Monday to be brought down:
New Socks
Toiletries
New bed sheets and pillows
New Plain neutral colored t shirts long and short sleeve (black, white, tan)
New Towels/wash cloths
Plastic totes to store toiletries and other items
Universal gift cards
Non perishable snacks
Womens personal hygiene products
Small Propane tanks
Batteries
Flashlights
Donated items can be dropped off in our lobby 24 hours a day. We ask that all donated items be new and unused as many do not have a way to launder or clean used items. Thank you so much!!
