Anja was born October 20, 1969 in Oberhaid, Germany, a daughter of Werner and Ingeborg (Eichorn) Rödig. She obtained a Green Card and moved to the United States in 2006. Anja was united in marriage to Todd Spencer Maginn on July 22, 2006 in Kansas City, MO. They moved to Garden City in 2014.
Her family was of utmost importance to Anja. Anja loved her children, and everybody else’s children. She spoke life into everyone she met. Anja was the encourager of encouragers. Anja loved music, to travel, and she loved her dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and especially her horse, Hank, and her donkey, Harry. In the mornings, she enjoyed a cup of hot tea in the dining room watching birds through the window. In the evenings, she enjoyed winding down with a glass of wine in the living room with her family or watching the sunset. Anja was known for her cake rolls and her Bee Sting Cake that the Harrisonville Community got to enjoy at Bona Fide Bakery.
Anja was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, Todd, of the home; her mother, Ingeborg Rödig, of Oberhaid, Germany; two sons, TJ Maginn, of Los Angeles, California; and Keegan Maginn, of Garden City, MO; two daughters, Jennifer Robinson and Leslie Ann Sall, both of Garden City, MO; two brothers, Stephan (Andrea) Rödig and Dieter (Ursula) Rödig, of Germany; and her grandson, Jack Werner Robinson.
