After 47 years of combined service to our hospital, Janice Schapler, one of our beloved housekeepers, has retired. Earlier this week, we gathered to honor her and thank her for her unwavering dedication to our hospital.
In a heartfelt speech, Janice shared, "I've formed a lot of relationships I'll keep for a lifetime, and I care about each one of you. I wish you all the best, and I hope this hospital thrives going forward."
Janice’s journey at BCMH began as a candy striper, followed by eight and a half years as a CNA. After a brief hiatus when several hospital workers were laid off, Janice returned to serve in our housekeeping department for a remarkable 39 years.
Her legacy of kindness, hard work, and care will be greatly missed, but we wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement!
