She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support and love in abundance. Carolyn was born on March 18, 1941, to Clayton and Martha (Leiber) Neuenschwander in rural Deepwater.
Carolyn was very active in 4H where she excelled in home furnishings, food preservation, food preparation, dairy cow and calf. Her pride and joy were her herd of five Brown Swiss. Carolyn graduated from Clinton High School in 1958. During high school Carolyn dated Eddie Brown and they would marry October 18, 1959. Throughout her life Carolyn enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, canning, cooking, crafts and bird watching.
Preceding Carolyn in death were her parents Clayton and Martha, her brothers, Robert “Bob” and Clarence Neuenschwander, sister Mildred “Berniece” Martin, Daughter-in-laws Melody Brown, Wylie Brown and grandson Chad Nicholas Brown.
Survivors include her seven children: James “Danny” Brown, Kevin Brown, Chris Brown, Jodi Brown, Jill Brown, Brad Brown and Bryan Brown; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
