Ron was born October 23, 1962 in Independence, MO, a son of Orville Dean and Joyce Janet (Cooper) Porter. Ron had lived in Independence and Peculiar, MO, and was a 1980 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. Ron was united in marriage to Loretta Wayman in 1986 and they made their home in Peculiar before moving to Garden City in 1996. Ron was a carpenter and owned Frames and Decks by Ron Porter from 1998 until his retirement in 2013.
He was preceded in death by his father. Ron is survived by his wife, Loretta Porter, Garden City, MO; two sons: Barry Porter, Merwin, MO; and William Porter, Rich Hill, MO; his mother, Joyce Porter, Rich Hill, MO; two brothers: Robert B. Porter, Cleveland, MO; and Rusty D. Porter, Independence, MO; four grandchildren: Michael, Xaindier, Blake, and Reece; and many other relatives and friends.
