Shawn was born in Kansas City, MO, on November 19, 1954, to Gene and Reasa (Galloway) Linder. Shawn grew up traveling and moving, but found his home in Cass County during his adult years. He found joy in his work as a roofer and landscaper, dedicating his days to providing for his loved ones, until an accident found him unable to continue his work. Shawn married Rhonda Morris on October 10, 1981 in Cleveland, MO.
His passion for motorcycles, especially his cherished Harley-Davidson, alongside his love for fishing and hunting brought laughter and joy to those around him. A member of the Road Saints, he found solace and camaraderie among fellow riders, sharing tales of the open road.
Fondly remembered as a stubborn yet caring individual, Shawn's sense of humor and storytelling captivated all who knew him. His devotion to family extended beyond mere words, always ensuring his children and grandchildren were near, fostering bonds and creating lasting memories, including binge watching dinosaur movies and shows for months. Shawn's memory will forever remain treasured by those whose lives he touched, carrying on his spirit of love, laughter, and undying loyalty.
Shawn was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rhonda Linder; his daughter, Jessica Bousman; his sisters: Little Shannon and Davonna; his brother, Daryl Linder; and his granddaughter, Cheyenne Hibdon. He is survived by his children: Reesha Reed, Mike Stone, Merranda Hibdon, and Maggi LaFollette; his siblings: Thomas Kennedy, Daryl Poertner, Richard Linder, and Mona Drinnon; his grandchildren: Robert and his 4 children; Joseph and Samantha; Jacob and his 3 children; Deborah and Austyn Curtman and their son, Noctis; Little and her 2 children; Jenna; and Mark; as well as, many more great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
