According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 10:00 p.m. Friday night on Interstate 49 near mile marker 126 in Bates County.
The reports says the accident occurred after a northbound 2022 Nissan driven by unnamed 45 year old male from Rich Hill struck an animal in the highway.
The driver, along with a 44 year old female passenger from Rich Hill, received minor injuries and were taken to Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment.
The names of those involved was not provided by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
