Widespread rain and storms possible Monday

Expect unseasonably warm weather today, with most areas seeing highs in the mid to upper 60s. A strong storm system will move through the central U.S. Sunday into Monday, bringing widespread rain and isolated thunderstorms to the region. 

Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are likely, with a chance for a few strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening. Following the system, temperatures will drop significantly, with lows dipping below freezing by late next week.
